At over two hundred issues with numerous spin-offs and specials, the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic series is the longest running comic series based on a computer game series, and while the quality does sometimes dip a bit low it couldn’t have got this far without being good. Archie’s Knuckles the Echidna
From 1997 until late 1999 Knuckles the Echidna had his own comic book series which ran alongside the main Sonic the hedgehog, expanding the Archie universe and explaning a lot of Knuckle’s past and present.

Archie’s Sonic X
Tying in with the universe created in the Sonic X TV show this comic ran for forty issues running from 2005 until 2009, it took a different approach than other Archie Sonic comics being very light hearted and tun and cheek.
