Okay I’ve been on youtube again, and I had to share this one with you, it’s worth it just for the first few seconds.
This animation is brought to you by the talented Jarmunkise.

Sonic has been through a lot in the last few years, from beating Eggman, to having more support characters than you can shake a very big stick at, but through it all we have maintained our love for the blue blur, this video seems to sum up the events of the last nineteen years rather nicely.
Kudos to NEWdumbich123455432 for putting this video together.

Two updates in one week! I’m on the ball… And we already have our first cameo!

The second part of Dream to Nightmare: Vger’s dream is now up. In this part, we find out what Akhmin’s dream is as well as getting to see the dreamworld version of Emerald Coast for the first time. Perhaps you should watch out for rocket-powered flying objects…
Also, this counts as your Friday update. I couldn’t be arsed to wait till midnight. :3

I love it when a plan comes to together, I like it even better when a plan falls apart creating all sorts of interesting consequences… as long as it’s not my plan that is, anyway today’s Just in Time is up on time, enjoy!

Friday updates? I lied.

The first part of the new Dream to Nightmare series is now up. It’s just a quick one to set the scene a bit, and possibly the only serious comic there’s going to be in the whole saga. I think it’s safe to say while I have the free time this is going to be updated whenever I feel like it rather than waiting a week between additions. Aren’t I good to you all?

I’ve been thinking it’s about time Emerald Coast got a bit of a face lift, and what better way to do that than with a new skin for the site?
But who to choose? Which character out of the oh so many should I go with, Knuckles would be the logical choice completing the holy trinity of original characters but then I think Knuckles gets too much love as it is, Amy… err no, Shadow… maybe, Silver… hell no, hmm this is tough… okay how’s about Blaze? She never gets much fan love! So yeah enjoy the brand new Blaze skin… oh and kudos to anyone who gets all the references hidden away. (You can change Emerald Coasts skin by choosing from the list at the top of the right hand navigation.

Out of nowhere, a new comic series appears!

The title image of the first story arc in the Dream to Nightmare series is now up! This epic spans as many parts as is necessary to make your eyes bleed and for your brain to slowly leech out through your nostrils from the sheer madness of it all. This will be updated weekly on Fridays where my uni schedule permits it and if Urth and Vger get off their arses and DRAW GOD DAMMIT.
Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
Yes, I am a giant tease.

Extralives.org, is holding a Sonic the Hedgehog game marathon this Friday, to help raise money for a charity called Water, but don’t take my word for it, Tim Troppoli the founder of Extralife explains it better in his own words.
Starting this Friday, August 20th at noon (Eastern Time), we’ll be conducting a Sonic the Hedgehog Marathon. In the spirit of Sonic, the broadcast will be formatted as a race with 2 screens side by side with each player trying to complete the game before the other. We’ll be playing all of the Sonic games from the main series ranging from the original Sonic the Hedgehog to the Adventure series to the hedgehog’s most recent outings on the current generation of consoles.
This marathon will be raising money for a nonprofit called charity: water, a charity that provides clean water to people in developing nations. They’re promised to keep track of the money we’ll raise and put it toward a specific project—our goal is to raise $5,000 to construct a well in a developing nation.
Every $5 donation enters the donor once in our raffle where we’re raffling off some ExtraLives.org t-shirts and Sonic the Hedgehog hats. We’ve also got a couple of prizes set aside for anyone who takes the time to make us some artwork– no donations necessary!
Sounds like a good watch, and it’s for a good cause so don’t forget to chip in.

We have been long overdue an update on Sonic 4, and so as promised last week a few more bits have trickled out of SEGA.
Today’s big reveal is Lost Labyrinth, with screens, music, and three new badniks being added to the official UK, US, and Japanese website.
All in all it’s very similar to the Labyrinth Zone from Sonic 1, with a graphical upgrade, not that I’m saying that’s a bad thing, from the screens there appears to be a lot more variety in the environment but the true test will come when we actually see how it plays, hopefully with improvements made from the E3 build.
