At times the Sonic community can have a really good sense of humour, and on April fools day this is especially true, so for those of you who missed the fun here’s a quick round up of the best pranks.

First off I’m happy to announce that Urtheart’s post yesterday about a ‘Classic’ mode in Sonic 4 is not true, although his sentiments are still true. I’m rather happy with how that one turned out actually, we caught a few people with it and pissed off a few others, mission complete!

Our comrades over at Sonic Wrecks announced a new All-stars game, Sonic and SEGA Allstars Soccer (or ASS for short) coming next spring to every console under the sun.

TSS took a rather interesting route this year, by making over the site into Big News, the number one source for Big news… hmm where have I heard that before? The makeover included articles news and previews quiet frankly brilliant!

Sonic Retro, decided that Sonic wasn’t enough and changed over to SEGA Retro the biggest SEGA resource on the net.

Sonic Paradox, the creators of the marvellous Sonic Shorts series, released Sonic Shits as set of Sonic fan animations that is quiet frankly… shit, seriously if you value your sanity, do not watch this.

On a more official front SEGA of America announced Ecco 2: Water Wars… hmm PETA are not going to be happy. Platinum games announced a 2D Bayonetta game.

I told you that it would only cause trouble.
Just don’t be to surprised when this picture is spread about the interwebs in a couple weeks as “proof” of Sonic 4’s classic mode.
