Recently I’ve been squirreling away on a few side projects for the site, hence the rather spartan updates recently, one of these that I’m launching today is the Archie Sonic comic archive project.

Now before people get started at me, yes I know other sites have done similar things in the past, but most of these seem to have fallen into a state of disrepair or are lacking in the latest information, So I thought why not do my own?

Now I’ve been a big fan of the Archie comics for a while now, and since today I should hopefully be picking up the two hundredth issue of the comic, now seemed as good a time as any to launch.

The thing is, I don’t want to just make a copy of a preexisting database, I want to make something new and different from what people have done before, I don’t know if I’ve managed that here, but that’s for you to decide really.

I’ve wanted to do this for a while now, the thing is several things have held me back till recently, first off is a lack of coding knowledge which I’ve recently fixed, and secondly a lack of web space which actually is still a problem… or will be very soon but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

For now I’ve only put up the first four covers to make sure the system works properly and baring any major problems more will be added very soon.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this new addition to the site so go have at look at it now! Oh and if you do spot any problems likt it not working please please please email at vger[@]emeraldcoast.co.uk so I can fix it ASAP!
