This is one for all the Shadow fans out there, don’t deny it I know you all exist otherwise we would have never seen the Shadow the Hedgehog game… which in the grand scheme of things was not as bad as people complained it was.

Back on topic, this is a nice short flash animation called Love love Shadow by erdath, just remember you brought it on yourselves when you pressed play!

Its that time of year again when Sonic site award events seem to start dropping out of the woodwork, and the first one out of the starting gate is the Shadow Allstar Awards, okay that’s enough mixing of my metaphors for now. While most people will say there are way too many of these awards flying around, which I am inclined to agree with, they do give an opportunity to promote peoples sites a bit which if your just starting out is a great help. If your interested in signing up then nominations will run for the next few weeks.

First things first, go recheck Wrecks again, they are back with force.
Second and more importantly I’m on a wee bit of a comic roll but I have to thank Ram the Dragon from The E-on forums of Wrecks for doing the initial drawing of this, I just coloured it, hence the title of the update.

Collaborations are always a nice way to get stuff done, especially if you excel at different things, and I must admit I enjoyed colouring this, while the pose is beyond my skills, so go thank her.

Hey there sorry I’m late but I’ve haven’t had much of a chance to sit down in front of the computer for the last day or so… sometimes being so busy is annoying, anyway a quick scrounge through the trash can that is youtube dug this up.

Its short it’s sweet and it looks nice, right time to do this weeks news roundup.

Our friends over at Sonic Wrecks (or at least AAUK) is hard at work upgrading the site to version 6.0, most likely as direct competition to this site, or maybe just cause he felt like a change. Either way, forums are still up as is RRplayer, with a scraped 3rd option, something about world domination (wait does that mean the operation has started?) Go have a look around anyway, maybe an Easter egg or bonuses.

Umm anyway I wish AAUK luck, since upgrading is a pain in the arse.

Also predicted snow on Monday = country wide panic buying in the UK.

At least once a week I get an email about a new Sonic sprite comic starting up asking to affiliate with me or just to check out there site, which I do quiet happily well the checking out part, not the affiliation part. Most of the time they are absolutely terrible but when you have been doing sprite comics for almost four years (has it really been that long?) all new start ups look rubbish, I’m sorry to say that but it’s true, sprite comics are crap factories sitting on the river that is the internet…

Now before, anyone says ”but Vger, you run a sprite comic as well how can you criticise an medium you yourself use?” Well put simply I try to innovate and try new things in the hopes that others will follow… OK I’m getting sidetracked here back to point.

Well another one of these emails came across my inbox yesterday, and despite my better self I read it and visited the website, and while the comic uses sprites ripped from the games and the quality isn’t great, the script and punchline however actually managed to hit the spot, it’s been a long time since I laughed at a sprite comic (admittedly my sense of humor is a little strange so this may not appeal to everyone), go have a look at Sonic Love Life… okay not the best title or premise but if you can make it work go for it. The site is a little spartan at the moment but hopefully there will be more soon, namely comics.

Was doing my regular browsing/sifting of Sonic sites today when I came across something truly amazing on UK Resistance, so awesome in fact that I decided to break my vow to not bottom feed of other Sonic sites exclusives. Some guy called SuperSonicSamurai with way too much time on his hands, has produced a little something to show where he would like to Sonic to go next, this harks back to Sonic CD and plays like a sequel but 3D with a hint of Sonic X-treme and containing way too much early 90’s slang that anyone in their right mind would never say today for fear of being locked in a padded cell and having food brought to them that can only be eaten through a straw… actually that might not be so bad with today’s economy, anyway I digress. Watch and stare in awe at this guys work.
