I like it when youtube makes my life easy for me, or more specifically actually recommends something good.

SONIC RELIEF 2009
FRIDAY 13TH MARCH 2009

To celebrate the UK release of Sonic & The Black Knight as well as Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day on Friday 13th March 2009,   MK Skillz and the gang at the SSMB is giving you the chance to help raise some money for charity in the very first Sonic Relief!

Sonic Relief is a concept made by MK Skillz which simply asks you to “do something Sonic for money”. Thanks to the super power of teamwork, I and Dreadknux are supporting the idea and it’s been given the go ahead.

All we need you to do is to be a part of Sonic Relief! Whether you want to dress up as your favourite Sonic character, sing a song, draw us a picture… literally ANYTHING (as long as it’s funny and will make us laugh!) then we want to see it! The possibilities are endless!

For every entry that we receive, I Shadzter (as well as other supporting members such as Urtheart, bolt, Vger, and SEGA Sonic’s Radio DJs The DJ and JJ4eva) will donate money to Comic Relief. The more entries, the more money we raise… simple!

For those of you who do not know who or what Comic Relief is, it’s a UK based charity which aims to make “a just world free from poverty”. Every two years, Comic Relief holds Red Nose Day – a live television extravaganza which is usually a guaranteed night in of laughter. The general public can also purchase specially made Red Noses or simply do anything to raise money, with all the proceeds going to the charity. If you wish to find out more, please visit http://www.comicrelief.com/ or http://www.rednoseday.com/

The closing date for entries is Friday 13th March 2009.

Thanks for all your support so far, stay tuned for more Sonic Relief announcements coming soon!

For any of our regular viewers who came from the Sonic Stadium and are wondering where the heck it’s gone, there is an important announcement over at Wrecks, I’m linking to it for the reason of it’s not good news.

My previous message stands, ogive the guys your supprt, because that is a lot of work down the drain. Everyone in the TSS staff will be doing their bit to help the place recover, and if you can offer your help in any way shape or form, I’d get into contact with any of the staff you know from the site, if you don’t know any of their emails, you’ve always got me (shadow[underscore]urtheart[at]hotmail[dot]com) or Vger who should be in the contact page and we’ll pass things on.

In the mean time our brothers at Sonic Wrecks are donating their services to help with SSR, and offering a temp place at their board Entherial-online for all those with a chatting need to hang out.

We here at Emerald Coast will be doing our bit too, so if you start seeing more content from others here, you’ll guess what’s happening.

It’s sad to see TSS having these problems, but I don’t think Mr Dreadknux will be going out without a fight, especially considering the popularity of Summer of Sonic 09 that was there. So hopefully they will be up and running asap.

Shadow Urtheart

Edit from Vger: Once again anyone who wants to get in contact with us to offer support to TSS then Urtheart can be contacted through shadow[underscore]urtheart[at]hotmail[dot]com and I can be reached through vger[at]emeraldcoast.co.uk obviously it goes without saying that all items in brackets in the email addresses should be replaced with the relevant characters.

TSS is currently down, I’m not 100% on the details, but I think some of you have guessed that since it’s been down for well over 24 hours (and we are no where near the 1st April) It’s fairly serious.

We’ll keep you informed on updates, in the mean time give TSS some luck, and if you are inclined to do so pray for em.

We might try raising some funds for them as well as Red Nose Day, stay tuned on Friday for an update on our Red Nose Day event!

EDIT Vger: Best of luck getting TSS back up, I’m missing it already.

I’d like to thank Urtheart for saving me the hassle of dredging up a video for this week.

I have no idea what they are singing… but the art looks good.

After the run away success that was Summer of Sonic 2008, it seemed inevitable that there would be another, which was announced a while back. Well now we have a date, 29th of August 2009, if your interested in going then post your interest here so that the organisers can get a rough idea of numbers.

I would recommend that if you can make it to London on the 29th of August, that you should do it, this event is well worth it!

Right time to book my time off work.

Summer of Sonic is an event organised by Svend ‘Dreadknux’ Joscelyne of The Sonic Stadium, and Kevin ‘ArchangelUk’ Eva of Sonic Wrecks.

As I continue to delve deeper into the sewage that is youtube, I find it harder and harder to pick out any true gems, today’s is one, that’s what I get when I go to the Crush 40 page.

Now if only I could play guitar like that…
